Hello! As you all know, I LOVE organizing but I HATE the cost of the really neat organizers out there. There are so many things I could buy to help me organize but sometimes those items cost more than what I would put into them, lol!
When I was doing the laundry this week, I was wanting a way to organize my kids sock/underwear drawers for cheap. I didn’t want to buy anything but I need something to help us.
So, I shopped my house and found a couple of 99 cent shoe bins and thought those might work as dividers! I tried it and it worked!! I don’t know why but it’s those little things that make me happy, haha!
This is what I did to my daughter’s drawer…
I just placed the bin right in the middle to sort and divide.
I put her tights in the bin.
I put her socks on one side…
And her undies on the other!
This works for us…SIMPLE, ORGANIZED & FREE!
I also did this too her other drawer. In this drawer, I keep the things that she will wear with her uniform. (That way things don’t get messed up with the others.)
In the winter, she always wears undershirts. This just makes them easy to grab in the mornings.
These are the tights that she wears for school.
And these are her socks.
Having her school items separated, will save us time in the mornings!
Love that!
Since, I had an extra bin, I did the same to Michael’s drawer.
One side for summer PJ’s.
Socks.
And undies.
Yup, I am happy about this little change!
Do you organized your drawers?
What do you use to keep things sorted?
Have a great day! :)
Don’t forget to follow me on facebook!!!

Great idea, Bonnie! I have been shopping organizers for my kid's closets and the price is RIDICULOUS! Love your organizing tips:)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE how you just found something that you had and absolutely made it work for your space. That's the best kind of organizing. One other thing that I do in my drawers is to roll the clothing rather than fold or just throw it in there. Just like you'd roll clothes in a suitcase, keeping tshirts and stuff rolled up instead of folded helps keep the drawers organized and not too cramped.
ReplyDeleteI just did this last week in my husband's and my dresser drawers and cupboards! We have cupboard doors on our dressers...which I *hate* and will change as soon as we have $ to get a new bedroom set... could be awhile! LOL! But I purchased $2 bins from Dollarama for our T-shirts, shorts, and pants to be rolled up in... and $1 smaller bins from Dollarama for our underwear, socks, and smaller clothing items. It works great and looks great! SO happy I won't have clothing literally fall out of the cupboard doors now! :) This is a simple, great idea! LOVE small bins for organizing!
ReplyDeletePerfecto me encanta toda tu organizacion eres una crack jejeeje por cierto mi hija tb tiene ropa de ir al cole y estoy pensando en separarsela del resto de los dias asi ahorraremos tiempo como tu dices. Bss josefa.
ReplyDeleteWe must not have many clothes, Lauren has a nightstand w/ 3 drawers, each drawer has sock/tights, undies, and the top drawer has books and CDs she listens to at bed time. Her dresser also has 3 large drawers and the top has pj's/tops, outifts, and bottom has jeans/shorts/pants. Dresses get hung in the closet. I like the idea of a bin for tights, might keep them from getting snagged in the drawer. :)
ReplyDeleteI do the same thing as you do! Works great.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea, I love this! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! I snag those shoe bins when they're on sale at the craft store for 2 or 3 for $1. I've been using them in my craft room closet, but have never thought to use them in a drawer. Thanks for sharing.
