Organizing my Natural Medicine Cabinet

This week on my Organize Now! Challenge, we are organizing our "Medicine" Cabinets.

My first thought was... what medicine?

Honestly, I do everything naturally and I was a little nervous to share this because, once again, we are against the grain!

We seem to do a lot of things differently than most people but I will show you anyway.

First off, I want to say that this was our decision that my husband and I made together before we had kids and luckily, we have found a great doctor that supports and encourages us.

Secondly, I am not a doctor and I am not prescribing anything here.  I am simply sharing what we have, use, and what works for us.

We are very serious about our health and sickness prevention.

Because of this, we have never had to put any of our kids on a prescription medication.
(Ages of our kids are 7, 5, 4 and 8 months)

This is what we use:

Supplements

We  take supplements daily and have for over 13 years.  I choose Shaklee because they are the #1 natural nutrition company with the purest ingredients and we have always been happy with our results.

  1. This is a great post, Bonnie! Thanks for sharing! I LOVE these Supplements too! I haven't been sick, and my kids haven't been sick since starting them in August!

  2. I read a post recently that if your neti pot is plastic you need to get rid of it after you are sick. I read that it can harbor bacteria that can harm you, especially pouring it into the sinus cavity so close to the brain. I actually just purchased us a ceramic netti pot at a health foods store. I read it is better because you can thoroughly sanitize it in the dishwasher. Just something I read! :) I LOVE LOVE LOVE this post!

  4. Thanks for the heads-up on the Hyland's brand!
We have to use much less of that kind of cold/flu remedy stuff since starting Shaklee, but I'll have to check it out!

  5. Love this post, you give me some great ideas for things I need to add to mine. Kendall is seven and was on antibiotics one time for strep-I didn't keep her on it the whole time and I upped her probiotics big time. Since then, never needed it again, and Claire hasn't either! Shaklee has helped a lot with that.
