I hope that you are all having a great weekend so far. I just have to tell you that I just got some great deals from my neighborhood garage sale this week and I can’t wait to show you my stuff at my Twice Owned Tuesday Party. Please join me because this week is going to be GREAT!!!
Today, I want to show you my NEW dining room!!!
I am excited because, for the seven years I have been married, I have never had a dining room or a dining set. When we first got married, we didn’t have a dining room and in this house, we turned our dining room into a living room. And we turned our living room into a study.
But when we got a free dining room set from my Mother-in-Law, I could wait to re-arrange my house.
I want to show you my NEW DINING ROOM.
I love having a table to decorate. I showed you here that I got all these items on the table for for only $34.00 .
I added this planter that I got from a garage sale for only $3.
Here are my before and afters.
This is this room as a living room.
And here it is now.
Before.
I changed the vase for a candle holder that my MIL gave me and the picture that I got from a garage sale.
Before. I don’t know how to get a good picture at this angle because of the windows.
After. I would love to find a hutch to put in place of the mirror. I will keep my eye open for one.
Before.
After. I love it!! I liked it before too but I love the change and a table to decorate.
To see the before “before and afters” of this room, read this post.
What do you think of the new room?
Do you like to decorate your dining room?
How often do you change your tablescape? I know I just decorated it, but I already have new ideas. So exciting!!! lol.
Have a great weekend!
Bonnie :)

Your dining room is just stunning. I love the table and chairs and the miror is wonderful. Your centerpiece is gorgeous. Love the moss ball it is so unusual and so pretty. Everything is just beautiful. You did a fantastic job. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteNice job! I rarely switch out my tablescapes in my dining room but I do change out my kitchen table. I have done sand with shells and a candle for the summer. Right now I have coffee beans and a candle in a hurricane.
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful diningroom! I love the way you have it all decorated! So very pretty!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
~Lynn

ReplyDeleteLou Cinda :)
I love your diningroom. It's so warm and inviting. You will have such fun decorating it and setting your table for dinners. When I was little it was my job to set the table for special meals. Since Mom wasn't interested in setting a pretty table I took up the reins. It's a special gift to teach your children to appreciate dining, as opposed to just eating, and you have the perfect teaching place. Just my opinion but this philosophy has served me well.
ReplyDeleteHave fun.

I'm so glad that you joined us for Tablescape Thursday! And I'm happy for you about your new DR set. Love all of your thrifty bargains you got! It's always fun to find things for a great price. My tablescape tonight is a thrifty one, and I feel pretty good about what I found for it, too. I will have to check out your meme some time. Sounds like fun!

ReplyDeleteI like it so much better as a dining room...very nice! Girl, you did good if you got your whole dining room centerpiece for $34 bucks! :-) It was SO nice of you MIL to give you the dining set, she must be a sweetheart! I change my dining room table pretty often. I change it BIG for different holidays, but I often go in there weekly and change things around a bit...you know, a tweak here and there. :0)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for linking up to my treasures and trinkets day...it's nice to have you. :-)
Blessings
Melissa

Wonderful re-do! We just added a dining room to our house after over 20 years of "kitchen table". It is such a great boon to the family dinner hour! And yours is just lovely.

ReplyDeleteJust found your blog for the first time from Thrifty Decor Chick's party! Love it! Already read through all your room re-dos. I am now following you in google reader and have you bookmarked to read more of your past posts. I redid my dining room too after 7 years of not having one. :) Need to post pictures of it. But I do have pictures of other projects I have done around our house. Looking forward to reading more. ;)
