Last week, we had another leak under our sink. That was the 2nd time since living here that it leaked. Argh!!! So, I decided that this would be a great time to finally give it a little makeover that it so desperately needed.
This is how it looked withed everything out and with all the water marks. I should of taken a picture of the REAL before, but I had to take everything out because of the water.
We have a lot of STUFF in there. We have a Reverse Osmosis System, which has the three filters and that huge tank. Then there is the garbage disposal in the middle and I NEED to keep my garage can under the sink.
The first thing that I did was line the bottom of the cabinet with a white liner. I think that it looks clean and new plus it hides the water marks!
Doesn’t it look way better already???
We already had this door organizer on. ( I love these things!!!)
I got them from Wal-Mart for about $8.
I decided to add another one to the inside wall.
Then I had to move this one over so they can both fit when the door closes.
I also added "trash" to the trash can with permanent marker because I don't have a vinyl maker.
Then, I used furniture marker on all of the needed edges.
(BEFORE)
(AFTER)
I had an idea I had from my sister to make something for my plastic bags so I took an old coffee can (which I would never recommend this flavor, yuck!!!)
Next, I took off the wrapper and spray painted it white.
Then I cut a hole in the top.
I used these stickers.
And then... :)
Isn’t it cute???
Next, I put everything back into the cabinet.
I started with the door. I bought the Target Great Value Brand because they were cheaper and WHITE (so they match my theme.)
Then, I added my cleaners in the other wall container. I keep my all-purpose and degreaser cleaners on the end for easy access. After that, I keep my liquid dish wash and my basic h. They all fit in perfectly!
Under that I keep my dish wash powder and……
my scour off, sponges and other stuff.
I added my can for my bags and my other cleaners. (Floor and Disinfectant)
Doesn’t that look organized??? I am really loving it!!!! YAY!
Here it is now!!!
Now I feel way better!!! I organized under my sink with a Reverse Osmosis System (including 3 filters and a tank), a garbage disposal, a trash can, bag can, all of my cleaners, sponges, foil, 2 zipper bags and plastic wrap with room to spare!
How do you organize under your sink?
Well..thanks alot Bonnie! Now I feel like organizing under MY sink!!! Great idea about the coffee can!!
ReplyDeleteI am inspired! Right now my organization system is...no organization system! I definitely want to try those organizers for the doors so you can keep cleaners and stuff easily accessible...and those white liners make it look so much brighter and less germy! Great idea!
ReplyDeleteLooks great! Love the bag storage idea!
ReplyDeleteBonnie that is the greatest under the sink makeover I have seen! I use the tissue box method for plastic bags, but I like yours better!
ReplyDeleteI may have to go to the store today and get stuff for MY makeover! :)
Looks great girl! Currently, my sink has NOTHING under it! So there! Hah! I beatcha. But ask why and I'll hang my head. Our faucet turn on thingy(like my scientific term?) decided to break...LAST WEEK and my hubby has had literally NO time between track meets every day and getting ready for states and such so Ive had NO WATER since last week! Im so annoyed but cant do the job myself. Ive been washing dishes in my utility sink out in the laundry room. I shouldnt complain though....at least I have SOMEwhere to do them(the dishwashers also been unplugged so he could do everything without the water on...UGH!)

I love this organization! Under my sink is a disaster right now...gotta add this project to my list of things to do. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeletewow, lady! looks amazing! I'm going to have to do the same thing ;)
ReplyDeleteLooks so nice, Bonnie. Congrats. It just feels better when things are organized...even under the sink.
ReplyDeleteFollowing you from Friendly Friday! I love the idea about the coffee can! What a cute touch!
ReplyDeleteBonnie, you did such a great job organizing that little area under the sink. I like the wire racks that make use of the wall space there.
ReplyDeleteLovely job! Where did you purchase the door racks from? I definitely need some of those throughout my house.

What a great makeover! We're trying to sell our house and you've inspired me to clean/organize under our sink! What great ideas. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm your newest follower also! I'd love it if you could follow me back at www.momsbalancingact.com
Have a great weekend!
I love this! I just recently organized under my sink too, but seeing this post solves a couple of my problems.
ReplyDeleteI reused several plastic boxes/bins from toys my sons have to organize my cleaning products. (But I love the wire racks you used adding those to my wish list!)
I reused formula containers (plastic simalac ones) for sponges, scrub pads and another one for latex gloves (have had the same box of gloves FOREVER and it finally fell apart so had to find something to put them in!)
BTW I found your blog through a link party (can't remember which one and closed that window) so I surfed your blog and added you to my reader....I am wondering how/where you store all of your thrifty finds until you figure out where they all will go?
Thanks for your sweet comments on my blog!! It's nice to meet YOU. I'm so glad to know I'm not the only one in the world who even wants under the sink organized!! :) Have a fabulous weekend!
ReplyDeleteHow do I organize under my sink? Um...
ReplyDeleteI'm embarrassed now. I don't. I have so much crap. I really need to go purge my un-used, forgotten-about products. I was just taking a break from cleaning the bathroom to read some blogs and now I feel like I need to get back to it! :)
Following you back now, thanks for stopping by!
That looks amazing!!! We have the exact same filter and same products :).... but mine doesn't look near as organinzed!! Love the bag idea!!
ReplyDeleteI need to do that!! YOurs looks really nice!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful job, Bonnie! I'm doing a little kitchen organizing today so this was a good inspiration. I am really sorry about the leak, but it looks wonderful now! I love your bag container...very cute. :) We usually keep our trash out...there is just so much of it with three little ones...but now you have me wondering if I can fit it under our sink...
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I've been meaning to ask if you know if you can use the scour off on the flat ceramic glass stovetops...
~Tamie
This looks so fresh and clean. Love it!
ReplyDeleteThis even makes me feel better. Love the can idea!
ReplyDeleteGreat job! I've got to get a bit more organised under my sink (and work out what is in there down the back).
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by Cook Clean Craft. I'm following you now too!
wow, bonnie! that looks amazing! i especially love the idea for bags. it looks sooo much prettier than the icky crushed glad box i have going on right now! it's always so much more motivating to clean when the area you are working from is organized and looks nice. great job!
ReplyDeleteThis is super cool and organized. Love it!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the follow! I am returning it now! Debra- http://www.housewifeeclectic.com
Hi Bonnie. I'm having a Organizing Link Party this Wednesday. I would love for you to link up if you get the chance. There's a giveaway too. Link to http://organizeyourstuffnow.com on Wednesday. Hope to see you there.
ReplyDeleteI love your little bag can! I need something like that for our new camping trailer.
ReplyDeleteI am totally inspired to clean under my sink now. I thought mine was organized but wow...Bonnie you are the queen of clean! Thanks so much for linking to the Sunday Showcase Party. I greatly appreciate it! Hope you have a great week! ~ Stephanie Lynn
ReplyDeleteLove the reused can for your bags! What a great idea. It looks great! Maybe I should work on my sink now! :)
ReplyDeletegreat idea!! come link up to MMM!!
ReplyDeleteLooks GREAT! You've inspired my daughter and I to work on all of the under-the-sink areas in our house this summer!

Just Another Day in Paradise
Wow! This looks so organised! LOVE the tin to hold the bag. I'm adding that to my "to do" list.
ReplyDeleteJust popped over from All Thingz Related...
This is genuinely inspiring -- I seem to be cleaning out one drawer or cabinet at a time. Last weekend, I organized the white metal cabinet in the garage which holds my gardening pots. Now you've got me thinking that next weekend I'll work on the bathroom (you know, in between mowing the lawn, laundry, cleaning, and holding my dad's birthday party for 20!).
ReplyDeleteI also like the holder for the plastic bags. Am I the only sewer who hates the design for those hanging tubes of fabric? Great way to use scraps, but it looks so messy -- and your simple, smart little can is nice and small, too!

I'm totally going to do something similar! My cabinet is a mess! Thanks for the tips!
ReplyDeleteThat plastic bag can...awesome! So simple! And so cute! I am definitely going to do this - plastic bags threaten to take over our house daily around here. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's gonna rain here, today. So guess what I'm gonna do? Haha reat job and I loooove organizing under the cabs. I have a hook with a resueable market bag to hold my bags - it hangs on inside of pantry. I also have one in the bathroom to scoop cat litter. I have baskets under the sink, but today they get cleaned out! (:
ReplyDeleteYou've given me the motivation I need to tackle my "under sink area" -- yours is so beautiful I feel like I'd want to leave the doors open for everyone to see!!
ReplyDeleteI just might have to make me one of those bag cans!!! ~Bridgette
ReplyDeleteOrganize under the sink? Ummm. Yeah I don't. At least not in the kitchen and not until I saw this! Ahhhh!!! Despite the fact that under my sink looks something like a landfill of confusion I really love organization and I ooh'd and aah'd over this entire makeover. Fabulous. Thrifty. Genius. And it looks fantastic. You've not only inspired me but given me some fantastic ideas!
ReplyDeleteI organized my under sink last year, but still not happy with it altogether. Will redo again; you've inspired me. Thank you! Pam @ Sallygoodin
ReplyDeleteOkay so I left a comment this morning and could NOT stop thinking about this. I just spent half the day cleaning out my under the sink cabinet and organizing it. It's not as cool as yours but it looks SO nice. Plus? Once I got everything out I noticed our instant hot water faucet tank thingy was extremely corroded and the wires going to the outlet were too! So not only did you inspire me to clean up but I think you just saved our house from burning down.
ReplyDeleteI hand organizers on the inside of my doors too. All of my cleaning supplies are organized in a paper 6 pack holder.
ReplyDeleteThat is a super idea! I'm gonna have to do this! My under the sink cabinet is a mess!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing @ Anything Related!

I am so stealing the can idea....I had painted a big Costco coffee can, but didn't have a plan yet...no I do! Thanks to you!
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting this Bonnie. I was wondering how I was going to reorganize under my sink due to a leaking garbage disposal. My husband just installed a new one that is quite large. So now all the things I got from you a couple of weeks ago will be organized!!! Thanks again.
ReplyDeleteI am your newest follower from Before and After!
ReplyDeleteI need to do some organizing under my sink too!! Thanks for the "kick in the pants"!!

Love this idea, I have been puzzling over the re-organization of my cleaning closet (yes I have a whole closet) for a while now.
ReplyDeletelifeofperks.blogspot.com
Wow, that is one organized under the sink cabinet. Thanks for sharing your ideas and linking to We're Organized Wednesday.
ReplyDeleteIt looks so good! I've cleaned out under my sink a few times but never exactly organised it. Those wire wracks are a great idea, and the can for bags is genius. That would definitely keep the number of bags at bay! I can see another project in my future!
ReplyDeleteVery nice but I don't know about the baggies (ones you put food in) being near the trash can. :)
ReplyDeleteTesting
ReplyDeleteBonnie, just a suggestion . . . I would not place the food wraps near the trash can. Since I live in an apartment and I buy the bulk wraps sold at Costco, I keep mine in my pantry. Other than that, I love your organization, the before and after pictures. Under your kitchen sink look pristine!:-)
ReplyDeleteWhere did you get your door organizers? Love this idea. Also, Does shaklee have free shipping? I noticed on another blog, she is offering free shipping on shaklee this month, but I found it on your blog first, so wanted to order from you. Thanks for your inspiration!
ReplyDeleteHi Toni!
ReplyDeleteI bought my door organizers at Wal-Mart for only $8 dollars. Thanks for wanting to order from me. After you place your order, just email me the shipping amount and I will send you a rebate check. I also offer my members other specials. You can receive $100 FREE in product after your first month from my online education courses and I also offer referral incentives if you refer any family or friends. Love it. In fact love it so much I added to my newly created list of "Best Ideas and Products to Keep Your Kitchen Organized." No one ever thinks about under the sink but it's just as important as other spaces.

ReplyDeleteWOW!!! Thanks so much!!! I just posted a link to my facebook page!

I love how cute that bag storage looks now! I need to make one! I featured it on my blog today: http://vixenmade.blogspot.com/2011/09/organizing-state-of-mind.html
ReplyDeleteHi.. You inspired me, thank you so much!!
ReplyDeleteby the way, may i ask what is the solution for your Floor Spray Bottle?
on the bottle say 3/8t Basic H for 32oz but i can't figure it out, is it per drop/tsp/tbs? Thanks in advance!!
Where can I find the white liner for the bottom of the cabinet? Love that look!
ReplyDeleteD. Judd!
ReplyDeleteYou can find those anywhere (Walmart/Target)
Thanks for your comment!
Bonnie :)
Wow! I love this. It looks so great. I am definitely going to do this SOON!

I love the idea of plastic bags in a container.
ReplyDeleteI used a cheese ball large plastic container, rolled the huge amount of grocery store plastic bags, and sliced the lid in an X in the center. To roll the plastic bags:
Plastic drinking cup...tall
Tape
plastic grocery store bags
Empty cheese ball container
exacto knife
I used the cup to start the roll, tape the end of the first folded lengthwise in half plast bag, roll it around the cup, and continue no longer using tape. It helps if you fold and place each bag about half way down the next, staggered.
when the roll is complete, place into the cheese ball container. Lift the cup thru the center and slide the taped bag thru the X cut into the lid.
Lori, that sounds awesome!!!
ReplyDeleteBonnie :)
Hi Bonnie~Just found your blog via Pinterest. Love this idea. I currently use an old garbage bag box to stuff all the grocery bags in, but this is so much cuter.
ReplyDeleteAwesome idea! I always cringe a little when I look under my sink...thanks for the ideas!
ReplyDeleteGood blog! I truly love how it is simple on my eyes and the data are well written. I am wondering how I might be notified whenever a new post has been made. I have subscribed to your RSS feed which must do the trick! Have a great day!

Thanks for sharing your great ideas!!I have a blog in Spanish recipe, but I would like you to meet him
ReplyDeleteLove it! We also have the reverse osmosis filter, garbage disposal, etc. So nice to see a redo that involves all the extras! :)
ReplyDeleteI just did something similar in my kitchen. It makes such a difference! I worked with a great deep cleaning service to get a bunch of cleaning projects done. Now I have a few more organization projects left. I really want to have my home flowing smoothly they year. Organization makes such a difference!
