Fall Cleaning-How to get Crayon off a Door

Fall cleaning continues over here!

I found that my 3 year old left me some “artwork” on two of my doors.

Urgh!!!!

That was his first time using crayons on the door so I wasn’t sure how hard it would be to get off.

I didn’t have time to clean it right away,  I waited at least an hour until finally getting around to it.

I got my Basic H (degreasing bottle), a couple of cleaning cloths (I had my son help me wipe it off) and my camera (because I had to show you, lol).

I was so impressed….it only took a minute or two for each door and it was all off!

Here is the other door.

  Here is the after!

I seriously was so excited!!!!  And it was easy!

I was so motivated that I continued on and cleaned all of my doors in the house.

What did you clean today?

Are you fall cleaning?

Happy Cleaning!
Bonnie :)

To wash the crayons off my door, I used Basic H Organic Super Cleaning Concentrate.

  1. Don't you love it when they art up the walls and who knows what else?!
I have a lot of fall cleaning to do, but not enough energy at the moment. I did get some stuff cleaned out and packed off the a consignment sale so that makes me feel good. Looking forward to some extra money too! :)

  4. Oh I needed this yesterday when my daughter used "Non-washable" crayons on our white play table! It would have made my life so much easier but I will definitely remember it for next time!

  9. Another amazing crayon remover is a Magic Eraser. I love those things. They work wonders use for dirty little handprints near door handles, kitchen cabinets(white) I should buy stock in those things. LIsa

  10. Removing the crayon is impressive. I can't say I've ever had issues like that since my son is disabled however that looks great.

Can't wait to check out the cleaning links today when I have a bit more time. My son was in the hospital all week so I didn't get any new cleaning projects done.

As for closets, that's a big job. I typically pull a few items each month when I do my bedroom zone cleaning. I try to pick a type of clothes to go through and then purge those. I went through my son's t-shirts recently and it took only a few minutes. Next month, I'll purge his pants, Kind of like mini sessions which is easier on me, lol!
