Easy and Healthy Lunch for Kids (and Moms)

This post was left in my drafts and I forget to post it. Smile

I can’t believe that this is my last week with Grace before she goes to first grade!  WOW!!!  We have been enjoying our final lunches together.
One of the things that we love to do is make our wraps.  I posted about our love for wraps last year.
Like always,  I like to keep it simple.  I just laid out my big cutting board with some turkey and cheese.

I also added a bowl of fresh mixed greens.

We just put everything together.

And wrapped it up!  We added toothpicks of course because that’s all the fun, lol!

I cut them into small pieces for the kids.  And they loved them!

We also added tomatoes.  (Grace’s favorite!!)

Now, I am getting ready to pack lunches for Grace to bring to school!  We went shopping this week and I let her pick out some healthy items to pack.
What do you like eating for lunch?
Are you ready to pack lunches?
Have a great day!

  1. I have a hard time not getting into a "sandwich rut" when it comes to packing lunches. I pack 6 lunches for my family everyday! Here is a link to some ideas I put on my blog: http://pulloutaplum.blogspot.com/2011/08/school-lunches.html

Thanks for all of your great ideas!! :)

  2. What memories this brought back! I used to do this with my daughter. I've never been a big sandwich eater, so I made up that idea. We called them roll ups - and toothpicks were definitely needed. Everything is more fun with a toothpick.

  3. My hubby and I do this all the time! I don't want the calories of the bread and he just like to really TASTE the meat and cheese! We did the wraps in mustard or honey mustard! Do you dip??? XO, Pinky
