Cleaning Tip of the Day

Washing your Cabinets

Today when I was on my kitchen floor (I don’t even know why I was on the floor, probably picking up food that my baby was throwing at me, lol) I noticed how gross my cabinets have been looking.

I usually wipe them down weekly or when needed but they were pretty bad today so I got out my Basic H and went to work.  I just sprayed on the all-purpose solution and wiped off.

  5. Looks great! It's amazing how nice they look once they are all clean.

I clean mine once a month on average, maybe a little more. I have a regular cleaning schedule for them.

Today was a light cleaning day-sweeping the porch, dusting the porch furniture, cleaning the washer/dryer outsides and cleaning the mirror and foyer table. I have some desk filing to do later. Everything else is pretty clean. I have daily and weekly schedules for everything.

  7. This is one of those jobs I hate, but I sure love the results! I need to force myself to do it more often because there are a lot of sticky fingers leaving prints in my house! :)

Would love to see it. Today I worked out, had breakfast, ironed for about an hour, cleaned my bathrom, colored my hair, showered, got make up on and got dressed and will now make dinner and then go to a meeting tonight!!!!!!!!!!!! WHEW! XO, Pinky

  10. It's been a week or so since I wiped down my cabinets, but I checked when I was cleaning earlier and they look fine. Today, I deep cleaned the bathroom and the countertops (got rid of build-up and decluttered under the kitchen sink.

Any tips on cleaning painted walls? I've never been able to do that without making them look worse than when I started.

  11. My sweet filing, fridge cleaning hubby thinks I should wipe the cabinents daily:-) I try to do it once a week. I think they could go longer. I do spot wipe when there's a spill. It's a big laundry day here and changing of sheets, fun, huh???

  13. I will be tackling kitchen cupboards in the next few days here, too! I am working on getting the kitchen organized and really cleaned up, and also starting the Houseworks Holiday Plan online...this week is "planning & paperwork" week so I am trying to get a better system for the tons of paper that goes through my house!

  14. I just scrubbed down my livingroom walls, baseboards & door jams. I have a question for you. Our front door is metal (painted white on the inside & a tan on the outside) & it is impossible to get marks off of it. There is also a some pencil writing, that one of my precious little ones shared, on the outside of the door & nothing I try to clean it with will get it of. Do you know if this Basic H would work on these tough spots?
